For a certain reason, I got really tired of those phones that do what you do not expect to do form them and do NOT do what you do… Hope you get what I mean. And old good Blackberry 9790 was the answer!
To get some nice features to sync and backup it in Fedora, install the following packages:
sudo yum install barry-libs barry-opensync barry
To run the backup application:
barrybackup
Unfortunately, the barry package does not contain the gui like the RIM’s Desktop Manager; people report it is different on Ubuntu…
For updating the firmware, I used some other (not to say something before the dusk) OS in VirtualBox.
